The present owner sailed the boat from Norfolk, VA to Israel, a voyage which the boat handled very well and the passage was made without incident. In preparation for the voyage, many new equipment
systems were installed and existing ones upgraded. An inner forestay and running backstays were added to allow the vessel to be sailed as a cutter for added versatility. Since that time the owners have sailed the boat in the waters of Turkey, Greece, the Adriatic and Cyprus.

To give an indication of the condition of the vessel
Excerpt from the most recent survey done prior to an Atlantic passage:

Findings and Conclusion:

“The 1980 Cheoy Lee Offshore 41’ grp cutter/sloop was found to be in extremely good condition. An enormous amount of time and money have been invested in this vessel to insure safe and capable offshore performance. No findings were made and therefore no recommendations. This is extremely rare, in my experience. This vessel should be considered a good insurance risk for any voyage or use.

Since that survey the yacht has continued to be upgraded, including painting of the hull with Veneziani two-part polyurethane paint. She is a unique vessel, one of its kind in both construction and mainanance, over the years there has been much equipment added and you can see the meticulous care which has been lavished upon her by her current owners. She is a proven blue-water cruiser.
